Aliases

To Folders

Under OS-X aliases to folders are ignored. If you want a folder to be linked into, but with un-altered folder contents, you will need to add a "theLinker.ignore.invis" file to the folder in question.

If a folder being processed contains an alias to a folder located elsewhere on the disk, links will be built pointing at the folder in question as if it resided in place of the alias (assuming the existence of a "0.default.html" file within the folder), but the files within the aliased folder will not be processed. If your web server follows aliases, this provides a straight-forward means of including one "linked" folder within another.

To Files

If a folder being processed contains an alias to a file located elsewhere on the disk, links will be built pointing at the file in question as if it resided in place of the alias, but the file referenced by the alias will not be processed.
