Configuration Options

When you double-click the application, you will be greeted with a dialog box offering an option between making Configuration changes and Selecting a folder for processing. Select "Configuration" to change any of the following:

Maximum folder depth

This sets the maximum depth to which theLinker will pursue nested folders. Use a small value to make high-level organizational changes, or preview hierarchy changes before processing a large site. [Default value: 10]

Media extensions:

These are the file name extensions which are totally ignored by theLinker during processing. The default set should cover most situations, but you can edit the list to handle special cases. [Default value: {"gif", "jpeg", "jpg", "invis", "tmpl", "acgi", "java", "class", "pdf", "mov", "wrl", "tiff", "tif", "psd", "css", "js","sit","hqx","pct"}]

Content extensions:

These are the file name extensions which are used by theLinker during processing tp provide the list of links (in addition to folders). You can edit the list to handle special cases as needed. [Default value: {"html", "htm", "shtml", "lasso"}]

Default formatting:

Each link resides in its own table cell. TheLinker inserts a <FONT> tag into this cell to control the formatting of the text in the link. The default value of this text, which may be further adjusted using the special file "theLinker.config.invis" is set here. [Default value: "<font face=Helvetica,Arial size=-1>]
